Celebrate Mother’s Day Weekend by casting a line! Maine inland fishing license not required.
During Mother’s Day Free Fishing License Weekend, May 8-9, 2021, everyone is encouraged to cast a line and enjoy Maine’s many waterways.
On these days, any person (except those whose license has been suspended or revoked) who registers may fish without a license. All other laws and regulations apply on these days. Nonresidents and residents may participate.
If you plan to participate in the Mother’s Day Free Fishing License Weekend please fill out the short survey below. This information will be used to help the Maine Department of Inland Fisheries and Wildlife increase fishing opportunities in Maine.
Ages 15 and younger should not complete the survey. Information will not be given to any third parties.
This free fishing license weekend is in addition to the semi-annual free fishing weekends. June 5-6, 2021 is the next scheduled free fishing weekend.
