THE TOP 3: This week 1986 includes THIS YEAR’S QUEEEEEEEEN of Twitter!

It’s 35 years after Dionne Warwick had her first big hit on the pop charts.  Since then, she’s been a part of tribute broadcasts and performances, had a run with the Psychic Friends Network, and in recent years, been relatively “retired” from public life.

That was, until she fired up her Twitter account.

Dionne has been a user of Twitter since October 2012 according to her public profile, but in recent months, she has STEPPED IT UP.   She tweets about other musicians and celebrities, positive influences for people across the country, and has appointed herself as all of America’s adopted older relative on twitter.

AND, she’s hilarious.  Give her a follow for some fun, and let’s relive the last time Dionne was in THE TOP 3, this week 1986.

3) Party All The Time / Eddie Murphy – YES, EDDIE CAN SING!  This was his one big hit song when he was at the top of his fame post-Beverly Hills Cop.  It reached #2 overall, and cemented Eddie as a multi-platform SUPERSTAR.

2) Say You, Say Me / Lionel Richie – Lionel was several years into his post-Commodores life already when he released this song, cementing himself as the king of ’80s love songs.

1) That’s What Friends Are For / Dionne & Friends – With help from Elton John, Stevie Wonder, and Gladys Knight, Dionne reclaimed a #1 spot she last held in the 1960s.  Not only was the song massive, but it also raised millions for AIDS research.

Dionne, thank you for all your contributions to the world musically – and for being a positive light on twitter as well!  We love you!
